I've recently had the good news that my ACE application for Treasured - A Secret Journey was successful. I feel very grateful for this pot of money to cover the artists wages for the project, especially when a lot of the arts news is about the recent cuts to some organisations.
Here is the bit of writing I included as part of my proposal:
A land I've forgotten the name of. The rain falls endlessly.
A million trees. A million trees with a million flowers.
Each flower lives for a million days. I dream a million times.
One night, I set out, the fire buring, the kettle on.
